Hello /fat/, Fatty Jr. (!FATJRxI8R.) here and welcome to the Fatty Contest! This is a continuation of the fatty contest that was being run by the doctor (!fattyP5UR2).
We weigh in weekly on the weekends. You’ll gain or lose points depending on your performance each week, then every eight weeks we declare a winner for that leg of the contest based on the scores. If you come first then you’ll be canonised as the latest member of the hallowed HALL OF ACCLAIM
You don’t necessarily need to “play to win”. If you’re maintaining or just want a fun way to watch your progress, you can join too. As long as the contest is helping you achieve your goals you can use it any way you see fit.
Weigh ins are from 00:00 Saturday through 00:00 Monday in GMT (That is 19:00 Friday through 19:00 Sunday in EST. There is a bit of leeway here but try to keep it within this timeframe please.)
If you join then you should consider it a commitment, you won’t be able to leave the contest until the leg has finished
You will be scored compared to your minimum entry in the leg.
You will be awarded 1 point for every 200gr/0.44lbs of weight loss.
In addition to the score awarded for your absolute weight loss, you will also be awarded up to 5 points depending on your position at "Weekly Weight Loss" and "Weekly % Loss" columns. 1st/2nd/3rd players on those lists are also awarded for extra 5/3/1 points and gets a trophy next to their names.
No points are deducted if you gain weight. But you need to beat your minimum in current leg to start earning points.
5 points will be deducted if you fail to submit an entry.
How to Join
Use following format and post on /fat/ to join. Height is optional for now that might change in the future. You only need to post your height once and the website will also give you BMI information if your height is available. At some point I will add support for target weight but haven't decided how to do that yet.
Pick something simple for name so you won't mistype or forget it in the future. Names are not case sensitive, if you use "Fatty_XxX_69" one week and "fatty_xxx_69" in another they will be treated as the same person.
The syntax is quite forgiving. You can use lb(s)/kg(s)/pound(s) as weight units. If you don't specify one (when you just enter a number) it will be read as lb. You can use " and '/feet(s)/m/cm as height unit. Numbers can be non-integers as well. The system will ignore your entry if it can't parse it correctly.
Height will be used for calculating BMI. You only need to submit your height once and it will be used for all future entries as well.
You can submit multiple entries each week but the only the last one will be accepted.
HALL OF ACCLAIM
The contestants that score highest in a leg will be forever remembered as part of this list.
